Accountancy Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Ely

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week

Duration: 3 months initially with the potential to progress to permanent

Hourly rate: c£10 p/h

Our Ely-based client is looking to bring on an accounts focussed Purchase Ledger Clerk with previous experience and exposure of working with Sage 50 and Sage 50 cloud Payroll.

As an efficient Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll work within a small and welcoming finance team on a wide variety of recurring financial tasks.

The Purchase Ledger job includes but isn’t limited to:

  • The data input of purchase invoices accurately and promptly
  • Reconciling supplier statements monthly and issuing remittances to suppliers by email
  • Preparing weekly payments for subcontractors and expenses
  • Dealing with purchase order and invoice queries internally and externally
  • Set up new supplier accounts

It is essential that you have previous finance experience, ideally as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Assistant, alongside fantastic organisation and communication skills.
