Permanent Accountant

Working in a small Accounts team, we are looking for an Accountant/Assistant FC on a full time, permanent basis in Newmarket.

This is a great opportunity which offers variety, with duties including:

  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Create and process month end journals
  • Manage departmental budget process
  • Create and file VAT returns and respond to any queries
  • Process corporation tax payments
  • Produce corporation tax computation additional information
  • Manage bank queries including the company credit cards
  • Manage and process intercompany recharges
  • Raise payments and produce reports
  • Process journals
  • Control account reconciliations
  • Produce and reconcile weekly payroll reports and raise associated payments
  • Manage credit card terminals


We are looking for someone with experience at Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller level, who has experience particularly in VAT returns and payroll as well as the above listed tasks.


Flexibility and a willingness to assist with any tasks to meet department deadlines is key in this job.


Experience of Dynamics Navision would be beneficial.


Location:          Newmarket

Hours:              Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
