IT 1st Line IT Support Technician

We are looking for 1st Line IT Support Technician who is customer service focused, an excellent communicator and good at problem solving.

In your job as a 1st Line IT Support Technician, you will be providing product support to customers as well as diagnosing and resolving any technical issues which are reported.

Duties include:

  • Providing 1st Line IT support to customers
  • Talking to customers to explain sometimes complex concepts in a clear and confident manner
  • Escalating any support problems as and when required
  • Testing and installing of the product
  • Product training will be provided.

You will have a keen interest in IT with a working knowledge of Windows Client/Server environments being an essential attribute. An understanding of Networking and Firewalls would be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of SQL.

You will have an analytical approach to problem diagnosis, with an ability to logically follow a diagnostic pathway to resolve faults and other customer issues.

This position is for 3 months and working full time hours.

Location:                       Ely

Hourly rate:                 £10-12.50 per hour

Duration:                       3 months
